MESSAGE FROM THE MANAGING DIRECTOR
The occasion of the launching of a website ascribed to SLEDIC represents a mile stone in the history and development of the organization. It also adds another dimension to the activities of SLEDIC as spelt out in its mission statement. SLEDIC's priority is the promotion of investment, the development of export and the expansion of trade links. An investment code has been completed which provides for national treatment of investors, full repatriation of profits/dividends, disputes settlement by arbitration at both local and international level, guarantees for investment as provided under the constitution etc. A whole array of incentives also available and accessible to investors. SLEDIC operates as a one-stop-shop providing services the components of which are in line with international best practice. With its abundant natural resources trainable workforce, a resourceful and friendly population together with current effort to improve on the infrastructure, Sierra Leone offers a veritable medium for investment. Above all the setting up of an Anti Corruption Commission lends credibility to governments continued effort to address some of the inadequacies in the business environment.
